“Let’s walk,” Keiko says, walking down the lit street.

I nod and walk alongside her. It’s still warm outside even though the sun is gone and the night air whips through our hair.

I reach out with a pinky and hook it to hers. I look over at Keiko, and she smiles. She notices but acts like it’s nothing. Just something that she’s enjoying, and it fills me with joy.

As we get closer and closer to our place, I grasp onto more of her hand and with a couple blocks left, I’m competently ensconced in her hand.
